Inspired to give back
This holiday season, Vi Corporate Employees teamed up with the Boys & Girls Club of Venice to create a memorable occasion for local families in need of holiday cheer. ViSalus employees volunteered at the Club’s annual Holiday Party by sharing their time, donating and wrapping gifts, and providing nutritious Vi products as an added treat for the 100+ families attending. VP of Marketing John Laun helped create a festive ambiance by DJ’ing holiday classics as CMO Blake Mallen connected with participating Club Kids and staff.
“I was amazed to see how many kids and families are positively impacted by the Venice Club on a regular basis,” said Mallen. “The opportunity to share our time and give back through Project 10 Kids was incredible.“
Partners in Giving
In April of 2015 ViSalus kicked off a national partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) in an effort to create a healthier generation and #greatfutures for today’s youth. Inspired by the evolving partnership with BGCA, our Los Angeles office was eager to lend a hand and contribute locally this holiday season.
Parents and children alike were thrilled to see the assortment of nutritious Vi Products! Vi Corporate Volunteers made an assortment of shakes and distributed Vi Bites, Vi Crunch and Fusions and Nutra-Cookies.
The Club was dressed in holiday décor and packed full with kids anxiously awaiting a visit with “Santa”! With a variety of classic games including a Bean Bag Toss and arts and crafts tables there was never a dull moment to spare, whether you were a kid or just a kid at heart.
BGCV Director of Marketing and Development Danielle Chi said “During the holidays the Club has so much to be thankful for and most importantly is for the wonderful partners and volunteers that champion us through the winter months. We couldn’t make the holidays special for our kids and families without the generous support and cheer from generous and thoughtful organizations like ViSalus. Thanks to the toy drive and volunteer hours by the ViSalus team, BGCV was not only able to provide Christmas toys to over 120 kids and teens, but healthy snacks for their families as well!”
