Sweet Strawberry Sorbet with NEON Energy Drink

Did you know? NEON is the official energy drink of summer and it’s no wonder. This tropical tasting elixir delivers an ideal energy boost anytime, day or night. It’s crafted with a blend of 24% fruit juice from concentrate including prickly pear, passion fruit, blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, cherry and cranberry juices plus caffeine derived from green tea and more.

Ingredients:

½ cup NEON Energy Drink

8 cups strawberries (hulled)

1 lemon (zest)

¾ cup unrefined brown sugar OR 1/3 cup Agave nectar

¾ cup water

Directions:

  1. In a medium size heavy bottom saucepan, stir together water and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Boil for 1 minute. Turn off heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool.
  2. In a food processor, puree strawberries and NEURO. Add in simple syrup and process. Pour into a 13x9x2” metal baking pan and freeze until frozen solid (4 hours).
  3. Scrape mixture into food processor and process until smooth, but not melted. Spoon back into metal pan and freeze 1 to 2 hours before serving. Garnish with lemon zest as desired.

Summer Sorbet Recipes

Cool Cantaloupe-Mint Sorbet with Lemon NEURO

Ingredients:

½ cup ViSalus NEURO Lemon Lift

1 ½ lbs. fresh cantaloupe (cubed)

¼ cup fresh mint (chopped)

2 tbsp. lime juice

¼ cup honey OR Agave nectar

½ tsp. sea salt

Directions:

  1. Using a food processor, process cantaloupe until smooth. Add NEURO, lime juice, honey, mint and sea salt and process for 30 seconds. Place the mixture in refrigerator until chilled (45 minutes).
  2. Pour chilled mixture into ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer’s directions.
  3. Pack sorbet into a metal bread pan with wax or parchment paper pressed evenly across the surface and freeze until firm (4 hours).
  4. Scoop into bowls and serve. Garnish with additional mint leaves as desired.

Very Cherry Sorbet with Raspberry NEURO

¾ cup water

Directions:

  1. In a medium size heavy bottom saucepan, stir together water and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Boil for 1 minute. Turn off heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool.
  2. Using a food processor, process cherries and NEURO. Add in simple syrup and process. Pour into a 13x9x2” metal baking pan and freeze until frozen solid (3 hours).
  3. Scrape mixture into food processor and process until smooth, but not melted. Spoon back into metal pan and freeze 1 hour before serving. Garnish with tangerine slices as desired.
