12 Yoga Poses to Jumpstart Your Day

According to the ancient yogis, during the early morning the earth’s energy is full of possibility for the upcoming day. Morning yoga practices are said to help energize the mind and body while better preparing practitioners for the challenges of each day. Although one may think that there isn’t enough time in the day to complete routine tasks, let alone yoga sessions, it is actually quite easy to fit in a quick early morning routine.

A very simple, quick and most importantly, rewarding exercise is known as the Sun Salutation. The Sun Salutation is a combination of 12 movements that is performed as one single motion. Even if you only have five or ten minutes of free time in the morning, a few rounds of the Sun Salutation can help you clear your mind, focus your energy and better prepare yourself to take on the day.

  2. Those are cute, using stick man to demonstrate Yoga poses. Also, I just want to add something (if in case some might find this post useful) – I recently stumble this page Yoga Matters: Finding and Sustaining and Edge (http://e1fit.com/articles/yoga-matters/). Learn proper alignment and how best to engage your musculoskeletal system in your yoga practice and 4 videos Yoga poses. You guys might find something that you can use there. Thanks for the great article! 🙂

    • My best way to get me out of a slump is to say tomyself: “Just start wiorkng out. If it doesn’t feel good stop – nothing to lose, all the gain” Besides, and this is one of my favorite “It’s only 1 hour outof my entire day”. Good luck with your slump.
